WHEN YOU CALL

In the event that you call Hatzolah''s Emergency Number, 9527 5111, your call will be answered by one of our professional calltakers. You will be asked a series of questions which are necessary for us to determine the nature of the emergency, and provide the most appropriate response. Some of these questions may be:

  • What is your telephone number?
  • What is the address of the emergency, and the closest intersection?
  • Is the patient conscious, breathing, bleeding, or in pain?

Please answer the questions as they are asked, in a calm manner. The Calltaker will then dispatch the nearest available Hatzolah Responders to attend the emergency. The Dispatcher will contact the Ambulance and arrange for them to attend.

WHEN HATZOLAH ARRIVES

Upon arrival, Hatzolah Responders will update the call centre as to the nature of the emergency and either upgrade or cancel the Ambulance response, as appropriate. Hatzolah Responders will initiate appropriate treatment of the patient(s).

WHEN AMBULANCE ARRIVES

Hatzolah Responders brief the Ambulance crew on the patient''s condition, and transfers patient care. Hatzolah will stay with the patient and/or patient''s family as long as is required for liaison and reassurance.

WHEN TO CALL HATZOLAH

Hatzolah operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year (including Shabbos and Yom Tov). If you have any medical emergency, Hatzolah prefers that you err on the side of caution and call us.
